For me, the most meaningful travel has always been about who it’s shared with. The wonder in someone’s eyes. A conversation that lingers over dinner. Watching children become more curious and confident in the world.
Horizon & Haven exists to create space for more of those moments.
Some of the best parts of travel aren’t places at all.
At the Heart
Travel has been part of my adult life for as long as I can remember. Early in my career, work took me across the country and eventually around the world. Leading training and launches across global markets introduced me to incredible places and even more amazing people.
As a family, some of our best stories have come from going somewhere together. More than 20 countries and nearly every state later, our two teenagers now have plenty of opinions about where we should go next. I love seeing what captures their attention, what they’re willing to try and which adventures we’re still reliving at home.
I’m equally happy wandering a European city, settling into a beautiful resort, setting sail somewhere new or heading back to Disney for a trip we’ve somehow found another reason to take.
What I love most is seeing what travel brings out in people.

Life has taken me around the globe, and some of my favorite memories have come from the most unexpected moments. There have been 13th birthday adventures with friends, sunsets in Greece and sled dog puppies to snuggle in Alaska. And somewhere along the way, I developed a serious love of cruising.
I’ll happily wake up early for something extraordinary, especially if great coffee is involved. Give me a food tour, a bike or a Segway to explore somewhere new, preferably with a really great taco or a crêpe along the way. Sunsets make me ridiculously happy. A picnic at Versailles is my idea of a wonderful afternoon. And yes, I can talk about cruises and Disney for hours.
The places have been extraordinary. It’s the stories we still laugh about that I love most.
